People have guts - stealing catalytic converters in broad daylight.  If you missed it, that actually happened in Rochester, Minnesota back in November/December 2022.  Many states are experiencing these thefts and below are the top 15 vehicles that seem to be targeted for catalytic converter thefts.

15 Vehicles That are Being Targeted the Most for Thefts of Catalytic Converters

Last winter, there was a storm that hit Minnesota, and on that particular day there were hundreds of accidents throughout the state.  I have teenage drivers at my house and there was no way I was letting them drive home.  It just wasn't safe.  So, I went to pick up my kids from Century High School and I was just hoping that when we showed up in the morning that no one stole his catalytic converter while it was sitting in that lot.

That shouldn't be how we are thinking but that is our reality today.  We park our car anywhere and some thief feels like they can take parts off of OUR vehicles.  (I've set it up that if someone touches my catalytic converter, they will get tased...so you might want to stay away from my vehicle.).

So, what vehicles seem to be magnets for thieves that have a craving for catalytic converters that don't belong to them?  According to a report by mn.gov, here are the top 15 vehicles that thieves seem to gravitate to for catalytic converters.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
