Hermantown K9 officer Bruno is being applauded after he helped get dangerous drugs off the streets. What started as a 911 call reporting a tire slashing ended with three people going to jail and felony amounts of narcotics being seized.

On Tuesday, April 7th, a Hermantown business and members of the public reported a male slashing a vehicle tire. Police were able to get the license plate number of the vehicle from witnesses at the scene.

It didn't take long for the Hermantown Police Department to find the vehicle. There were three individuals in the vehicle. After speaking with the officer, a male admitted to having slashed the tire.

K9 Bruno was deployed to do a vehicle sniff and alerted to the presence of narcotics. Police searched the vehicle and found a large amount of controlled substances.

The male was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property (tire slashing) and 5th-degree possession. The second individual was also arrested for 5th Degree Possession, and the third person was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

It makes you wonder, if you have illegal drugs on you, and one of you has an outstanding warrant, why would you call attention to yourself by slashing someone's tire?
