It may seem far away now but 2024 will be here before you know it! Registration for one of my favorite races is opening this Friday (November 10th) and it is a great run for runners and those that just like to take in some scenery around Pike Lake!

The Pike Lake Races include a half marathon level race, along with a 10K race. This year, they have even added on a 5K for those that want a shorter and more laid back run. The race will take place on Saturday, June 1st of 2024.

The race takes place at the Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club in Pike Lake. The run starts and finishes at the club, with a slightly different point-to-point course for the 5K option. Registration begins online on Friday at midnight. Each race has a different price.

  • 1/4 mile is free
  • 5K is $35
  • 10K is $39
  • Half Marathon is $54

All of the races start at different times depending on which one you sign up for. Prices do increase as we head into the new year, with an increase planned for February first and another one on May first.

I loved doing this race for the first time earlier this year! I loved the course and loved the signs people held up along the course. A lot of them were funny and it definitely kept me going, which was needed since the race had hills. The classic Minnesota views were great though.

There are water stations throughout the course, along with a post-race party and awards for the different age brackets. Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club is located at 4895 Midway Road. Packet and bib pickup will take place in the few days preceding the race.

They are also looking for volunteers for the race so if you want to take in some great views, this might be the way to do it. You can get all of the volunteering details online for a variety of different volunteer positions. See you there!
