This is absolutely incredible. If you tuned in or took part in our St. Jude Radiothon this year, you know that there is one Northlander who is very passionate about the cause and had a goal to raise as much money for the event as possible.

The Northlander is Justin Gower, owner of JG's Custom Lures. Over the past few years, he has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the kids at St. Jude and has become an integral part of our annual Radiothon.

He has raised money over the past four years by holding online auctions leading up to our Radiothon. He paints custom lures online and then auctions them off. He has even gathered even more community support, securing a ton of local sponsors year after year.

This year, he had a big dream and a big goal of raising $20,000 for the kids at St. Jude. He just got the total numbers in and shared the exciting news on B105 with David Drew but also dropped the news on his Facebook page! What was the total raised? Drumroll, please.....

How incredible! Justin singlehandedly raised $19,071 for the kids at St. Jude. That brings his total over the years to $41,471. Thank you for all you do for the kids at St. Jude and for this community, Justin! We couldn't do it without you.

He is passionate about the cause after losing a friend to cancer. This is his way of honoring his friend. What is so incredible about this feat is that Justin started his online auction just a few years ago.

While raising any amount of money is incredible, he raised about $3,000 the first year. In just a few short years, he has raised an astronomical amount of money. Again, thank you Justin for all you do!
