Explore 50 Years Of Grandma’s Marathon Memories At New Museum

I cannot believe that the 50th anniversary of Grandma's Marathon is this year - and that it is right around the corner! It's always epic but this year is going to be even better thanks to the big anniversary.

All three of the races - the full, the half and the 5K - sold out in record time. They always sell out but this was a new record since everyone wants to be part of the anniversary.

People come from all over the world to run this race and this year is going to be the biggest and the best yet. They definitely won't be bored (not that you could be bored in Duluth) because organizers are pulling out all the stops.

This includes a brand new Grandma's Marathon Museum, open now through race day. This is the best way to commemorate running in one of these three historic races.

The museum is located in the St. Louis County Depot, right near the race route, making this even more memorable. The exhibit is free and will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during regular business hours for the venue.

This is a really cool attraction if you are visiting for the race and even if you are a lifeline Duluthian! This is one of the biggest events in the Northland every year and this year is even more historic. How fun.

What will you find when you get there? Stories (my favorite part!), photos and memorabilia from the past fifty years. The museum will share 'the story of growth and success' for the race.
