Duluth’s Two Loons Gallery And Boutique Is Going Out Of Business
A truly unique Duluth business had sad news this week as Two Loons Gallery and Boutique announced they were going out of business and would be closing their store in Duluth's Lincoln Park Craft District.
As their website states, Two Loons opened its doors at 2025 W. Superior Street in 2017 as an eclectic gift shop specializing in unique art, gifts, apparel, and decor with a North Woods and Lake Superior theme.
What made Two Loons even more special was that they also hosted one-of-a-kind craft work from over 200 local and regional artists. They also took pride in hosting several special events throughout the years.
Unfortunately, it seems that a combination of circumstances has forced them to make a difficult decision. They shared the disappointing news on January 4 on their Facebook page:
It is with great sadness that we announce that Two Loons will be closing. We have greatly enjoyed all of our customers and artisans over the last seven years, but see no future from a prolonged closure and the anticipated changes to our market area and our block that the City intends to implement.
They added that if there are items in their store that customers are interested in, now is the time to visit them to get them before they're gone. They also noted that they have notified their artisans and they will be slowly removing their art. Lastly, anyone with gift certificates must bring them in before March 1, 2024.
Two Loons Gallery and Boutique is the second business this week to announce they are closing their doors in Duluth's Lincoln Park Craft District. Earlier this week, DLH Clothing announced they'd be closing their store on January 13.
