Paranormal Investigator Buys Haunted Minnesota Hotel
Halloween might be far away but if you're like me, you celebrate year round! I love all things spooky no matter the time of the year and I am definitely not the only one.
I have always been interested in the paranormal and have even been to a few haunted places in my day. Some places might not be haunted but have that vibe and other spots make it hard to deny that they are indeed haunted.
One of those places is the Palmer House in Sauk Centre. Just a few hours from the Duluth area, the hotel has been featured in just about every ghost hunting show under the sun. I've been there and I can say that there is no doubt it is haunted!
Now, the famous attraction is under new ownership and this truly is the perfect fit: it was bought by a famous paranormal investigator from Minnesota!
The Palmer House Purchased By Paranormal Investigator Dave Schrader
Meant to be? Last year, the trio behind Paranormal Mysteries on Beacon TV went to the haunted hotel for a weekend of investigating. At the time, it was alluded to that the adventures would become part of the show but that episode hasn't aired yet. You could even buy a ticket and investigate with them!

The cast is made up of Cindy Kaza, Dave Schrader and Shane Pittman, who used to be on a Travel Channel show together called The Holzer Files. Fast forward to the end of 2025, and one of them officially became the new owner of The Palmer House.
Like I said, this is the absolute perfect fit. David Schrader has been a longtime partner with the business and former owner Kelley Freese through his paranormal podcast 'The Paranormal 60' and of course, through investigations like the one he did with his cast mates.

According to the Sauk Centre Herald, he and his wife have been visiting the hotel for fun for a long time as well. This is fantastic: someone with paranormal ties who truly loves the hotel and all of its history buys it. The hotel is definitely in good hands.
As someone who has been here a few times, I love that the history will live on in a really cool way. I gotta get back to the Palmer House! If you're curious what makes the spot so haunted, you can read more about the history on their website.
I am still thinking about the interesting doll that went missing there a few years back! That thing was definitely haunted.
