It's likely for this reason that scammers have decided to concoct a scam involving stamps, banking on the fact that we are all frazzled and working last minute to get everything out on time for the holidays.

The Better Business Bureau says they have seen an increase in people reporting fake websites selling counterfeit stamps. These websites state that you can get stamps for cheap and in a hurry, both of which sound enticing to everyone, especially during the holiday season in Minnesota.

Some of these scammers are even impersonating the United States Postal Service. Others scammers share fake website that have stamps for sale for 'half off' regular price. You know what happens from there: you enter in your banking and personal information, yet never get any stamps.

As if this wasn't bad enough, the Better Business Bureau says that these scammers sometimes do send stamps, but they are fake ones that can't be used to actually send anything. Others say they get an email from a scammer stating they will get a refund that never comes.
