Wondering who’s employing the most Minnesotans in 2025? A new list ranks the state’s top five biggest employers, and while there are some familiar names, this year's list features some new surprises, too.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) just published a list revealing just how many Minnesotans are employed by the various companies, organizations, and businesses here in the Gopher State, as well as which of those organizations has the most employees.

Their list, referencing research done by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal has five familiar names on it, all of them employing a large number of our fellow Minnesotans. Altogether, these five organizations provide jobs for nearly 200,000 residents of the North Star State. That's a pretty decent number of Minnesotans!
