Anyone living in the Twin Ports area knows full well that we need to take advantage of warmer temps when they are here, especially because of our limited summer season.

For me, someone who doesn't care much for winter, trying to be outside as much as possible when it's not snowing and cold is important.  Admittedly I'm not as active in the outdoors as I should be, but just being outside always makes me feel better and helps me sleep better.

One great thing about Duluth is the Parks and Recreation Department is good about offering various events for the whole family throughout the year.  Many are free, and there are some low cost option activities too.

An upcoming one will only cost you $5 bucks and it's open to all ages.  It's a Full Moon Hike on Wednesday, August 30th.

Taking place at Twin Ponds, located at 1401 West Skyline Parkway, from 8:00-9:00PM.  It will be a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the night sky when it's not too cold yet.  While the idea is to enjoy the full moon, headlamps will be provided if you want to have one.

Although open to all ages, please keep in mind that this is a moderate level hike, so come prepared for that.  You can register for the event on the link above and for just a few bucks you and the whole family can take advantage of a guided hike under the full moon in Duluth.
