WATCH: Locally-Owned Wisconsin Café Earns Spot Among ‘America’s Best Restaurants’
A unique Wisconsin café just made its way into the national spotlight after being highlighted by the team from the show 'America's Best Restaurants'.
The Gnoshery, located in Sturgeon Bay in Wisconsin's beautiful Door County, is a self-described board game café. The concept behind the business blends tabletop gaming and great food into a cozy space to eat, play, and shop for new games through their co-located business, Gnome Games.
The Door County eatery shared at the end of 2025 that they would be making an appearance on the web series in early 2026, being highlighted as one of a list of Wisconsin restaurants that the series has visited.
That video feature piece (seen below) hit the web on Monday, January 5, showing off some of the amazing food and gaming opportunities at The Gnoshery.

Other Wisconsin places highlighted by America's Best Restaurants include Coop's Pizza in Hayward, Big Guy's BBQ Roadhouse in Hudson, and Third Street Tavern in Milwaukee.
Before the release of the video segment, the owners of the locally-owned café thanked their patrons and employees, saying, "Without our amazing customers & staff, this wouldn’t be possible!"
In sharing the video of the segment on social media, the team at The Gnoshery introduced themselves to new potential customers who might be learning about them for the first time, thanks to this appearance on America's Best Restaurants. In that brief introduction, they described a little more about who they are.
They explained that at The Gnoshery, "Every table has the potential to become a place of laughter, strategy, and storytelling. Whether you’re rolling dice, drawing cards, or simply sharing a meal, The Gnoshery is about creating connections and memories."
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items, coffee & espresso beverages, teas, and more are all on the menu, along with hundreds of games to enjoy while visiting in their "stay and play" library, and a big selection of games you can buy to bring home as well.
