All this poor guy wanted to do was take his family to a Wisconsin Badgers game. In the process, he managed to go viral with a big ope moment.

A video has gone viral on TikTok laying out the situation, in which a TikToker shares the story of her dad's epic fail trying to buy tickets for a big football game this fall.

So, here's the story.

TikToker mosie_kate recently shared a video of her and her family attending a concert. The text overlaid on the video reads "How hammered was my Dad when he got us tickets to 'the Alabama game'? The video has been getting a number of views as people react to the hilarious situation.

You'll notice I mentioned it was a concert and not a football game. Here's where it gets funny.

The concert they were at? Well, it was for the classic country music band Alabama, who did a show at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin this fall. His intent was to buy tickets to the Alabama Crimson Tide game against Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison this fall.

Oops.

While it might have been a mistake, it seems like a fun mistake to me! They also look like they had a fun time. They rolled up in a party van and they got to see an iconic musical act. That sounds like a good time! It just wasn't the activity he intended. Nor was it in the same town or even in the same month.

The Alabama vs. Wisconsin game was on September 14 in Madison, where the Badgers lost big in a 42-10 Alabama victory. The Alabama concert was on October 17 in Green Bay. Who wants to see their team lose when everyone wins at a concert? It was all for the best in the end - at least in my opinion.

A country music blog got in contact with the TikToker to get more of a backstory. She told the website her dad made the decision to try to buy some tickets to the Alabama/Wisconsin game after "getting hammered" in Las Vegas.

In his excitement, he bought 14 tickets to what he thought was a big football game. Only it was for a concert a month later.

So, they didn't get to do the "Jump Around" thing at Camp Randall, but they did get to see some classic country music! Plus, the band's lead singer Randy Owen was seen wearing a Packers shirt during the show. So, that's something football-related, right? They look like they had fun, though!
