Duluth’s 148th Fighter Wing Shares 4th of July 2025 Northland Flyovers Schedule
As the 4th of July approaches, Duluth's Minnesota Air National Guard unit is once again planning to conduct some flyovers with their fighter jets around the Northland as part of community celebrations.
The 148th Fighter Wing, based in Duluth, shared a schedule of 15 planned flyovers around Northern Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin, and the Michigan U.P. on July 4, 2025.
Each of these scheduled flyovers were coordinated and approved by the US Air Force through a request website for just such purposes. As a part of the 148th's announcement, they note that such requests like this can be made through the U.S. Air Force Aerial Events website 45 days in advance.
Each of the locations in the schedule will get a flyover from two F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 148th Fighter Wing this year, as long as the weather cooperates.
Coincidentally, this is also the day before the 2025 Duluth Airshow starts, which will also see an F-16 aerial demonstration from the 148th Fighter Wing on both July 5 and 6.
