If you love Bloody Marys, live music, and fun, this annual charitable event is the perfect Sunday Funday for you!

Details for the Duluth area's annual 'Bloody Bash' charitable sampling event and competition have been announced, with some new stuff to look forward to for this summer!

If you've never been to one of the annual Bloody Bash events, they're a super fun time! The premise is that local bars and restaurants all come up with creative and awesome Bloody Mary recipes and bring them to this event for you to sample and vote on in the categories of best-tasting and best-presented Bloody Mary.

To go along with the Bloodys, regional breweries will also be competing for your vote to earn the title of "best snit" or chaser. You'll be able to sample Bloodys and beers and vote for your favorites while enjoying live music on the "deck and beach" (the sand volleyball courts) at Skyline Social and Games in Hermantown this August.

The whole event is put together to raise money for Never Surrender Inc., an organization helping in the fight against ALS  (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Last year, over $22,000 was raised through a combination of ticket sales, raffles, and other donations.

Let's make this year the biggest one yet!

This year's Bloody Bash is Sunday, August 10 from 11 am to 4 pm. The event happens rain or shine. If the weather is uncooperative, everything is just moved inside at Skyline.

Tickets are on sale now, but are also available at the door. I'd recommend grabbing them in advance, though. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door on the day of the event. You can get your tickets in advance through the Skyline Social and Games website.

All proceeeds from the event as well as bar sales at Skyline on the day of the event go to Never Surrender Inc. to help in the fight against ALS.
