Duluth’s Burning Tree Plaza To Welcome A New Business

The Duluth area has some exciting new businesses moving in this year. It appears that a business is moving into an open spot in the Burning Tree Plaza near the Miller Hill Mall!

Unfortunately, my favorite store in the plaza closed. JOANN Fabric and Crafts closed nationwide, and that meant the Duluth location as well.

The store had a dominant presence in the Burning Tree Plaza and was the go-to craft store in the area. I loved killing my time in there!

But with every business that closes, another one opens and it appears a business is moving into the plaza very soon. It should help fill the void a bit.

The Burning Tree Plaza Is Home To Businesses Aplenty

Late last year, a Skechers store opened in the Burning Tree Plaza, replacing the former David's Bridal store that once stood there.

There's also a T.J. Maxx, a Home Goods and a nail salon, among many other businesses. Best Buy also anchors the Burning Tree Plaza. Now it's getting a new addition - at least for a few months!

Spirit Halloween Moving To A New Home In The Burning Tree Plaza

According to the Spirit Halloween careers page, there will be two locations this year. The Miller Hill Mall location will be returning. There will be a second location in the Burning Tree Plaza!

There are several openings for both locations. If you want a seasonal job (in the best way), you can apply for a manager, sales associate position or more. The Spirit Halloween stores usually open in late July or early August.

The job openings for the Burning Tree Plaza location just mention the address of the plaza and doesn't specify exactly where in it the new Spirit Halloween will open. I did stop by to see if there was any signage and there isn't yet.

There are two vacancies in the plaza and one is the former JOANN store. That is likely where the Spirit is going because the other vacancy said it was available. We'll see very soon because it's never too soon to start celebrating Halloween.
