NWS: Mid-March Storm Could Bring ‘Heavy Snow’ To Minnesota
Well, it is only March but that doesn't mean this hurts any less! It looks like we aren't in the clear for winter just yet in Minnesota.
This isn't a huge surprise. Like I said, it is only March and while we've had very mild winters over the past few years, a mid-March storm isn't too out of the ordinary.
This also isn't surprising if you follow Midwest Weather on social media. The weather analyst shared late last month that we'd see two major storms in March.
The two storms were predicted to hit between March 3rd and March 18th, and this storm falls right in line with that. Yay? Now, here's what we can expect.
The National Weather Service of Duluth just shared details about a possible winter storm, set to hit our neck of the woods late next week.

The storm is projected to hit on Friday (March 14th) and continue into Saturday. As of now, there is a 'risk of heavy snow' that will be wet and sloppy, similar to our most recent winter storm from this week.
As with any winter storm int he Northland, there is a bit of uncertainty when it comes to the exact path of the storm but as the storm inches closer, things will become more clear.

As of now, we have a forty to sixty percent chance for seeing this heavy snow. We will have to be patient and wait out this weekend to see the track of the storm and exactly how much snow we can expect. Sigh.
