Marine General – Don’t Wait To Buy This Before Factories Are Out

I was chatting with Russ, the owner of Marine General, about the ice fishing season. It's still early, but there are some people out there fishing. Russ wanted to remind people that if they go out early, make sure to have your ice picks and floatable suits on. He also stressed that there could be a limited supply of a lot of gear this season.

Marine General ships across the country and has been a very popular store in Minnesota for nearly 50 years! So when it comes to the industry, Russ Francisco knows his stuff. He said the last couple of mild winters across the country have made manufacturers a bit skiddish about supply and demand on some items.

Factories Are Out Of Winter Boots

For example, Russ said Don't drag your feet if you're looking at buying some specific things. He says there is nothing left at the factories for boots, so if you need a pair, make sure you buy now before everywhere starts running out of sizes. It's been winter all over the country already this year, so people are buying up a lot of winter apparel.

Buy Ice Electric Ice Augers Now While Supplies Last

Marine General also suggests you purchase your electronic ice augers sooner rather than later, because the factories are out. Fortunately, they still have a good selection, but many manufacturers haven't been making as many ice augers because of slower ice fishing seasons.

Arrowhead Ice Fishing And Winter Show

Marine General says they are stocked up for the Arrowhead Ice Fishing and Winter Show, coming to the DECC December 12-14. They'll have specials for the show, and you can save some big bucks. I know over the last few years I saved around 100 bucks on a Clam Ice Armor suit, and about $200 on a new Clam flipover. Seriously, you can save a bunch!
