Special Halloween Family Event Returns To Duluth’s Lincoln Park
Halloween week has arrived and there is certainly no shortage of things for people to do in the Northland!
For example, there's one day left to visit the Haunted Ship in Canal Park. The nationally recognized attraction will be open for its last day of the season on Halloween.
Also, on October 30, the City of Duluth recently announced it's welcoming trick-or-treaters once again for the City Hall-oween event.
Another great Halloween tradition will be happening again in Duluth's Lincoln Park and organizers are promising another fun and creative afternoon for Northland families.
10th Annual Trick-Or-Treating Event Planned In Lincoln Park
The Northern Expressions Arts Collective (NEAC) recently announced it's presenting "Family Game Carnival: A New Twist on Old Favorites,” an interactive trick-or-treating stop at Harrison Community Club, located at 3002 West 3rd Street in Duluth.
It's a “family forward” event, meaning it is appropriate and fun for children and even adults of all ages.
"Family Game Carnival: A New Twist on Old Favorites" is on October 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It's a free event, but donations are welcome.
What To Expect At The Event
This event is a part of NEAC’s “Community Connection Initiative,” a project designed to promote opportunities for social connections across the city of Duluth. The goal of the event this year is to encourage families to play together and make connections within their neighborhood.
Children and families will play “live-action” games based on favorites such as Candyland, Monopoly, Space Invaders, and Mario Kart, among many others. They can also win a family pack of games to play together.
There will be plenty of Halloween candy to enjoy as well! A recent Facebook post shared that thanks to Junior League of Duluth and Members Cooperative Credit Union, there is now over 70 pounds of candy and treats to share.
NEAC will also once again participate in the Teal Pumpkin Project. They promise to have some non-edible treats on hand for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Northern Expressions Arts Collective reiterates they are dedicated to building community connections through artistic play.
