Curious if our very mild winter will last? Some people hope it remains calm and others want some snow so they can get outside and do some winter activities.

This winter has been so mild in fact that one local meteorologist says this January could end up being the least snowy one on record.

On the other hand, a weather analyst says all it takes is one storm and that one big storm could be headed to the Northland by later next week!

Only time will tell but for fun, let's turn to the Farmers' Almanac to see what they are predicting for the rest of the 2025 winter season.

In case you missed it, the Farmers' Almanac shared some predictions about this winter season, calling for a 'calmer' and 'gentler' winter season for Minnesota and Wisconsin.

According to their predictions, we can expect temperatures to be warmer than usual and snowfall to be lesser than usual. The Farmers' Almanac also says this will be a 'temperate, uneventful' winter. Wow.

Overall, we can expect mild and dry conditions for the remainder of the winter season. So far, that is what has panned out so I think they may be on to something! Although, I take their forecasts at face value.
