City Hall-oween In Duluth, Minnesota Is Guaranteed Family Fun

It's Halloween season, and before the big day even arrives on Friday, there have already been a lot of opportunities for kids throughout the Northland to put on their costumes and load up on candy.

Boo At The Zoo, Malloween, and countless trunk or treating events are just a few examples of activities that have been available for kids in the area.

Now, your kids have yet another chance to go trick-or-treating before Friday, with an event sponsored by the City of Duluth. City-sponsored events such as this are great because they are safe, convenient, and community-focused, so get ready to bring your kids to City Hall!

City of Duluth Announces Details For Its 2025 City Hall-oween

City Hall-oween began in 2019 as a way to welcome City staff to participate in decorating their workspaces at City Hall, and to invite their families, as well as families from the public, to trick-or-treat at City Hall, and to encourage access to the local government at an early age.

The City of Duluth recently announced that Duluth City Hall will again be open this year for trick-or-treaters for its City Hall-oween event on Thursday, October 30, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. City

Hall-oween will be a safe place for children to come in costume and trick-or-treat from City Hall offices, as well as the Duluth Police and Fire Departments.

While the free event is open to the community, there are some guidelines for Halloween costumes in City Hall. To ensure costumes abide by the City Hall use policy, the following guidelines are in place for the event:

No masks or items that can hide your face/identity (surgical masks used for health purposes are fine).
No violent or offensive costumes.
No gang references or horror characters.
No weapons.
No costumes that demean race, religion, nationality, gender, or handicap conditions.
