Minnesota Authorities Need Help Now Identifying Suspect In 3rd Degree Assault
When a crime takes place in any Minnesota community, authorities look to bring the guilty parties to justice, no matter how long it may take.
This summer, a 3rd degree assault occurred in Northern Minnesota, and now police have reached a point where they need help to identify a suspect in the crime.
In Minnesota, 3rd-degree assault is a felony offense that occurs when a person assaults another and causes substantial bodily harm, like a fracture, temporary but substantial disfigurement or impairment, or a temporary loss of consciousness.
It's also when the assault involves a past pattern of child abuse against a minor, or when an assault causes harm to the head, eyes, or neck of a child under four. Penalties can include imprisonment for up to five years and a fine of up to $10,000.
